In my pinch pot monster it is seen to have five eyes, six tentacles, sharp teeth, and spikes. The colors represents the "Old rotting slime" vibe. the form the monster takes is a round shape by the the head, and lower down widens out. The monster is seen with multiple circles holes pattern scaling out from smaller ones on the tentacles and the stomach, and larger ones of the back and stomach. What inspired me to do this monster idea is, I thought about how some monsters are big, and small. I used the small format and going back to the "slime" look, they are round and small so I stuck with that idea. The construction process was smooth, when I started this project, I make the stomach first and then moved onto the head having to make it hallow, but the walls still thick enough to be able to make the mouth. Then adding the features (eyes, tentacles, spikes, feet), the glazing was kind of difficult due to the glaze drying up quickly after every coat, but it was a fun project to do.
Natural Form Coil Pot
In my Natural Form Coil Pot project, it shows two patterns, the swirl-roll coils near the bottom, and the stander coils that starts after the swirl coils and progressively get smaller. Two flowers in total are in this project and are shown on the left and right side to balance each sides. Lastly it ends with a small curl and at the top to end the pattern. The texture is smooth and the colors choices show bits of brown and sage green, What gave me inspiration for this design was a vase, i thought about how tall they're and how wide they can be, but this isn't exactly like a vase, there is no opening to put anything in it. The process of this was very time consuming, with finding the shape and size of each coil and the form of the pot was difficult, but wasn't to hard.
Architectural Slab Project
In my Architectural Slab project, it shows that it is wide, and long. It has two story, and has a square opening in the front and the back. It has a square top that is hallow, and has a small platform in the front, it is colored purple all around, it is smooth on the walls, and the rough on the edges. I chose the color purple because when looking at the structure it gives me dark cool colors, and with the cool color is shows the amount of space that is involved in the openings. what gave me inspiration for this idea was, when looking at houses, they long and very short. So i took that design and made it so their is two different rooms that doesn't connect and a second level on the right side. I found this project with a medium difficultly, it wasn't to hard but not east either, when having to flatten the pieces and creating the walls, it was very time consuming but worth.
Korean Water Dropper
In my Korean Water Dropper, it shows a design of a cat sitting down and looking up, on this project you can see the features of the ears, nose, and whiskers. The color I chose was blue, because the blue shows the features very well like the out lines of the nose and darkens the ears. The color also shows how smooth and balanced the project is. What inspired this idea was, I love cats and having the opportunity to make one out of clay was nice. The process of this project wasn't too bad, the only difficult part was the splitting in half at the beginning of the project and the decision of which glaze to use. The added features on the cat was the four legs, ears, nose, whiskers, and the fur in the front.
Wheel Thrown Pots
In my wheel throwing project, we have a small shaped bowl and a small shaped cup with thick walls. The colors i chose was a dark pink with spots of orange all around, the texture of the cup is smooth where their is color, but rough at the orange blotches, and the other color is all orange all around. What inspired me to do these designs is, I want to do both a cup and a bowl I didn't want them to be too big, nor too small, like travel sized. The project making was difficult, it wasn't easy to do. The centering process was hard, keeping the clay steady and in line was hard. I would say another difficult part would be the trimming, keeping your hand sturdy and trying to not mess up, But it was a fun experience to be able to make both a cup and a bowl,
